Market day

 Hi everyone,

In this blog I am going to be telling you what happened yesterday. So yesterday was market day at HHS. What we had to do is make a product to sell at our market day. We were all put into groups, my group was F4N1 D4WG$ and we were making scrunchies. In my group was Aliyah, Christina and Temera.  My gourp didn't end up making much scrunchies so Whaea Jude gave us some shoes that she wanted gone to sell. The shoes sold pretty good. Me and one of my working partner wore some of the shoes to advertise them. At the end of the day we sold about 80 shoes and got like 40 dollars. It was really fun and im sure everyone enjoyed it.

Galileo

 Kia ora, this blog is about a famous inventor. Any way getting to the point here is my work

Who is Galileo and why is he important?

Galileo was a Italian natural philosopher, astronomer(someone who looks at space on a

telescope) and mathematician (He is really good at maths). Galileo was known for his

amazing discovery of the moons of Jupiter. 

When did he live?

Galileo was born on February 15th 1564 and died in 1642 8th of January. 

Where did he come from?

He came from Italy,

What Did Galileo Discover?

Galileo discovered 5 planets, Ganymede, Europa, Lo, Callisto and Ring Of Saturn.

Was Galileo punished for his discoveries?

Yes he was punished because he disagreed and tried to get his opinion about the earth

being round and that it orbits the sun. 

Three facts about him

His three daughters are nuns. 

He dropped out of school.

Galileo’s middle finger is in a museum.

Wānanga Work

In wānanga we have been learning about Māori tikanga values in our wānanga groups. My group is focusing on the value of whakawhanuangatanga. Whakawhanuangatanga means like building relationships, establishing links and making connections. I think I can show whakawhanuangatanga by trying to relate to people other than disagreeing with them. 

P.E This Term

 In P.E we got told to do a blog post about what we have been doing this term, sense it was the last time we would be having P.E this term. We played a whole heap of sports. A the start of this term we were training for athletics like shotput, discus, high jump, long jump, relays and sprints. Then going towards the end we just did sports. The sports we did were Softball, touch and vollyball and kinda kia o rahi. My favourite was probably touch and vollyball, it was fun. I didnt really learn any skills mainly because I knew most of them. Next time when we do P.E I would like to do Netball.

 In hurumanu 2 we have been working on beats that will go with a video we picked. Some people were working in a group and others were working by their selfs. We had 4 videos to choose from. There was 2 of seagulls and the other 2 of people playing basketball, my group choose the basketball video. Once we choose our video we had to creat a beat off soundtrap. We had to make sure the music matched the video and was on beat. We also had to try and make a mood for our video. After we made our beat we went to wevideo and combined it with our video.

Cooking

On Wednesday we made pizza in cooking class. We were in groups, my group was Ada, Kahu and myself.  I tasted alright, but that was my opinoin. It was pretty easy to make and it on needed a few things. The ingredients that we used were...
Pizza sauce, Capsicum, Onions, Tomato, Salami, Cheese, I think there was more but I can't remeber. We only had three people in our group and we all got to put whatever we wanted to put on our own pizza. I didn't take long for us too put everything on and cook it.  

Touch

In P.E we have been focusing one touch. We have learned a whole heap of new stuff about touch. Even though I already knew how to play I still learnt alot. We did heaps of drills practicing or passing, kicking and heaps more. 

After we do some drills and have a play around we get to play touch game. I reckon its fun because we get to switch up the teams every time and be in a team with some people we have been in a team with.

Hurumanu 2 Refliction

For the past 7 weeks we have had Hurumanu 2 times a week. We are on a topic called counting the beat. We had an options if we wanted to learn how to play the recorder or an ukulele or we could work on or music through out the decades, which is when we made a google slide about the most popular music to 1900s-2020s. I choosed the recorder and it was kinda hard to find a easy song to practice. I want to be more confident playing hard songs or beats on the recorder. Even though people make playing a recorder easy it ain't.2

Perimeter, Area and Volume

 Kia ora Everybody,

This week in P.E and Maths we have been learning about perimeter, area and volume. We have been measuring things in our gym and finding out the perimeter, area and volume. So Right now I am going to be explaining how to find the  perimeter, area and volume. 

First I am going to explain perimeter, so if you wanted to find out the perimeter you have to measure your object and whatever number you have plus all the numbers together.

Now I am explaining the area, what you need to do is again measure object and times all the numbers together and there is you area.

Lastly the volume, you have to get you object that is 3D then you measure that depth the length and the width and then times them together.

The things that we measured was our pulse\heart rate, weight and objects.

welcome to my blog. Today in Hurumanu 1 we were learning about history. My teacher shared us a google doc with question about what history we know about in New Zealand. Any way here is my work...

Studying history is important because: in the future you might have to make an important decision and you will need to know the past to learn from the mistakes.
